8 ) Align bottom edge of a gray Kraft-tex

2 × 41 ∕ 4 " rectangle with 1" marks on Step 7

unit. Topstitch^1 ∕ 4 " from bottom edge of

Kraft-tex to attach base of first card pocket

(Diagram 5). Repeat with white Kraft-tex

2 × 41 ∕ 4 " rectangle aligned on^1 ∕ 2 " marks to

attach base of second card pocket.

9 ) Align remaining gray Kraft-tex 2× 41 ∕ 4 "

rectangle with bottom of Step 8 unit.

Topstitch^1 ∕ 8 " from bottom edge and

both side edges to attach all card

pockets (Diagram 6).

12 ) Place closed zipper right side up on a flat

surface with zipper pull at top of zipper

tape. Center gray Kraft-tex 2^3 ∕ 4 ×4 " rectangle

on left-hand side of zipper tape, overlapping

pieces^1 ∕ 4 " (Diagram 9). Topstitch^1 ∕ 8 " from

edge of Kraft-tex rectangle. Repeat to attach

gray Kraft-tex 1×4 " rectangle to right-hand

side of zipper tape.

13 ) In a similar manner to Step 10, align

unfused blue stripe 4× 47 ∕ 8 " rectangle with

left-hand edge of Step 12 unit; sew, fold

rectangle to back of unit, and press.

14 ) In a similar manner to Step 11, align

remaining blue stripe 1×4 " rectangle with

right-hand edge of Step 13 unit; sew, fold,

press, and trim so that piece extends^3 ∕ 8 "

past edge of unit when measured from

wrong side to make zipper pocket unit.

The unit should be 4× 4 ⅝ ".

10 ) Lay fused blue stripe 4× 47 ∕ 8 " rectangle atop
Step 9 unit, right sides together and aligning
right-hand edges. Sew together along right-
hand edge, then fold blue stripe rectangle
around to back of unit; press (Diagram 7).

11 ) Lay a blue stripe 1×4 " rectangle atop
Step 10 unit, aligning left-hand edges.
Join along left-hand edge. Fold blue stripe
rectangle over, press, and trim so that it
extends^3 ∕ 8 " beyond edge of Step 10 unit
when measured from the wrong side to
make card pocket unit (Diagram 8). The
unit should be 4× 4 ⅝ ".
