It is worth remembering that you can
continue to take whole-screen static
screenshots at any time during the
process outlined here by pressing the
Cmd+Shift+3 keyboard shortcut. If you
click on the screenshot thumbnail as it
appears in the lower-right corner then
you can open it up in Markup mode for

Show mouse clicks
It is also a good idea, if you’re
producing tutorial videos, to
enable the ‘Show Mouse Clicks’
option so that your viewers can
see exactly what you are doing
in the video and replicate it.Casting your net
If opting to capture only a
selected portion of the screen,
you can drag the reticle around
to focus on what you want.
This also applies to the ‘Record
Selected Portion’ option.Adding sound
If you’re producing tutorial
videos then highlight the
‘Record Entire Screen’ icon,
then click ‘Options’ and select
your Mac’s built-in microphone
to include spoken voice-overs
