KEY COMPOSITING SKILL NO.2 TRANSFORMING
When piecing images together the Transform command is vital. It lets you resize, rotate
and reposition your layers so that they fit together in the way that you want. The
command can be accessed either under Edit>Transform or with Cmd/Ctrl+T, but often
it’s easier to use the Move tool and check ‘Show Transform Controls’ in the Move tool
options at the top. This way, a bounding box will show over the currently selected layer.
You can simply click the bounding box to begin transforming. While Transforming a
layer, you can hold Cmd/Ctrl and drag the corners of the box to skew the layer, and hold
Shift to constrain the layer proportions. You can also right-click for more options like the
improved Warp command.
