■ 2.5mm (UK 13/12, US 1/2) circular

Using 2.5mm (UK 13/12, US 1 /2)
needles and Yarn A, cast on 80 (88: 96)
sts.
Join to work in the round, being careful
not to twist.
Round 1 Knit.
Round 2 Purl.
Round 3 Knit.
Round 4 (K2tog) to end of round.
40 (44: 48) sts
Rounds 5-13 (K2, p2) to end of round.
Round 14 Knit.
Rounds 15-37 (K2, p2) to end of round.
Round 38 (K2, p2) twice, k2, p0 (1: 2).
Place marker. This marks new start of
round.

Heel
Next round Work 20 (22: 24) sts in
pattern, place marker for halfway point
of round, k to 1 st before end of round,
wrap and turn.
Next row P to 1 st before half-round
marker, wrap and turn.
Next row K to 1 st before wrapped st,
wrap and turn.
Next row P to 1 st before wrapped st,
wrap and turn.
Repeat last 2 rows until there are 8 sts
remaining between the wrapped sts.

Using 2.5mm (UK 13/12, US 1 /2) needles
and Yarn C, cast on 40 (44: 48) sts.
Rounds 1-7 (K1, p1) to end of round.
Rounds 8-9 (P1, k 3 ) to end of round.
Rounds 10-11 (K1, p1) to end of round.
Rounds 12-13 (K2, p1, k1) to end of
round.
Rounds 14-15 (K1, p1) to end of round.
Rounds 8-15 set pattern.
Continue to work in pattern for a further
12 rounds.
