Tracetheovalontothewrong side,

centringyour embroidery.

withtheremaining8inyellowsquare.

Machinestitchalongtheoval.Trim the

seamallowanceto^1 / 8 in (Fig A).

Gentlypullthelayersoffabricapart

andcarefullymakea smallcutin the

centreofthebacklayerofthefabriconly

(theunembroideredside).Turntheoval

rightsideoutthroughthisholesothatyou

canturnouttheoval(FigB).Pushthe

edgesout,takingtimetosmoothallthe

wayaround the oval shape. Press (Fig C).

Placeonein eachofthetop corners and

bastein place (Fig D).

Sewthebindingstripstogether

end-to-endusingdiagonalseams.

Presstheseamsopenandtrimthedog

ears.Foldin halflengthways, wrong sides

together, and press.

Sewthebindingtotherightside

ofthequilt,creatinga neatmitreat

eachcorner.Foldthebindingovertothe

backofthequiltandsecurein place

temporarilywithpinsorbindingclips.

Hand stitch in place to finish.
