Align a marked solid aqua

square with one corner of a

solid white 5^1 ∕ 2 " square (Diagram 3;

note orientation of marked line). Sew

on drawn line; trim excess fabric,

leaving^1 ∕ 4 " seam allowance. Press

open attached triangle. Repeat with

adjacent corner to make Unit A. The

unit should be 5^1 ∕ 2 " square including

seam allowances. Repeat to make 36

A units total.

Referring to Diagram 4, align a

marked solid aqua square with

one corner of a solid white 5^1 ∕ 2 " square.

opposite corner to make Unit B. The
