PLAY WITH SCATTERING AND SPACING
The Brush Settings Panel is home to a whole host of settings that change the way
the brush lays down paint on your document. Go in deep here, and you can craft all kinds
of wonderful brushes and effects. The Shape Dynamics and Scattering settings are some
of the most fun. Simply choose a brush tip, then increase Spacing in the brush tip shape
settings; then move to Shape Dynamics and up Size Jitter; then head to Scattering to
increase Scatter, Count Jitter and any other settings you like. Now the brush lays down
a scatter of different-sized strokes as you sweep it across the canvas. Try using Color
Dynamics to add in a Hue jitter for color variation.
