Your Dog 202003

(Joyce) #1
DOGFEST
Also returning this summer after a successful 2019 is DogFest. Hosted by
Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick and in partnership with Bought By Many pet
insurance, this popular event at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire (May),
Tatton Park, Cheshire, and Ashton Court, Bristol (both June) has fi rmly
established itself as the ultimate doggy day out for all the family.
Owners and their dogs will be treated to a range of attractions,
entertainment, and activities, from hay bale racing, obedience, dog diving,
and agility to a fun dog show, Puppy Zone to help younger dogs socialise,
and Hound Hangout, where you can meet the most famous dogs of
Instagram. There’ll also be lots of advice on canine and human health and
emotional well-being, including fi rst aid training and nutrition, while the
retail village will boast hundreds of well-known brands, bespoke producers,
and tasty food and drink for you and your dog.

GOODWOOF
Entering the dog festival fray for
the fi rst time this year is Goodwoof,
billed as a family-friendly canine
extravaganza devised by experts and
real dog lovers.
As you’d expect from a glamorous
venue normally associated with
fast cars and fast horses, the West
Sussex estate of glorious Goodwood
promises a fantastic line-up of
activities to entertain both two-
and four-legged visitors.
Presented by Mars Petcare, this
exciting May Bank Holiday event is
set to celebrate everything we love
about dogs, from competitions,
demonstrations, and pampering to
trails, treats, wellness, and nutrition.
Canine companions can sample
dog yoga, massage, agility, fl yball,
and cani-cross, while their owners
can watch big screen favourites in the
outdoor cinema and marvel at Grand
Designs presenter Kevin McCloud’s
‘Barkitecture’ exhibition of kennels.

WOOFSTOCK
Back for its sixth year, Woofstock 2020 is rated
as one of the UK’s top 10 niche festivals by the
‘Sunday Telegraph.’
By day, it’s a festival for dogs whose owners can
accompany them to displays, have-a-go activities,
competitions, dog shows, demonstrations, and
trade stands. By night, this award-winning event
in Dartmouth, Devon, in August, transforms into
a music festival where humans can bring their
dogs to listen to popular cover bands, tribute acts,
rock and roll, and even eighties sounds from the
aptly named Riviera Dogs.
Visitors to the festival are invited to make
a weekend of it by packing up their tent, camper,
or caravan, or alternatively indulging in a VIP
glamping experience.
