DOG LOVERS
FESTIVAL
Canine festival goers can soak up
an eclectic mix of music, fun, and
entertainment in the beautiful grounds
of Derbyshire’s Elvaston Castle at the
end of July/beginning of August. With
last year’s Dog Lovers Festival appearing
on Channel 5 and voted as one of the
UK’s best dog-friendly festivals by ‘The
Star’ newspaper, the event promises
to be even better this summer. Hosted
by Mad Hatters Events, the non-stop
music over the weekend will include
performances by some of the country’s
top tribute bands — from Queen and
Kings of Leon to George Michael and
Madness — while foodie fans will
delight at award-winning produce, in
particular 20 types of gin, artisan cider
and ale, and a pop-up Prosecco bar.
Dogs can look forward to a packed
programme of activities and displays,
including agility, disc dog, scurry run,
hoopers, lure chasing, and dock diving.
And there’ll be a shopping village

PAWS IN
THE PARK
More than 23,000 people
and 15,000 dogs attended
last September’s autumn
Paws in the Park Show at
Kent County Showground in
Detling, with more than 1,000
camping over the weekend
and enjoying evening bingo
and quiz entertainment.
Both the autumn and spring
Paws in the Park Shows — the
latter at the South of England
Showground in Ardingly,
West Sussex, in May — will
feature a host of fun dog
games, activities, displays,
entertainment, and lots of
shopping opportunities.

ALL ABOUT DOGS
Don’t miss this year’s All About Dogs series of events,
which are spread around the country and run from the
start of festival season until the end. The shows have
become an established part of the dog events calendar.
Organised by dog lovers for dog lovers, this bumper
canine roadshow calls into Newbury Showground,
Berkshire (April); Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire
(April); Brentwood Centre, Essex (May); Hylands Park,
Chelmsford, Essex (May); Norfolk Showground, Norwich
(August); and Trinity Park, Ipswich, Suf olk (September).
And hot of the press, a new venue has been announced
for 2020 — the Blenheim Palace All About Dogs Show,
also dubbed ‘Paws at the Palace’, in July.
Along with the usual programme of fun competitions,
have-a-go activities, exciting arena displays, expert
dog advice, and plenty of shopping opportunities,
canine and human visitors will also be able to enjoy
the wonderful grounds and parkland of this stunning
Oxfordshire stately home and World Heritage Site.

Great entertainment
at Paws in the Park.

It’s All About Dogs.
