Vallejo Model Colors are semigloss, opaque acrylic paints
and feature a high concentration of pigmentation on a wa-
tercolor basis. There’s a comprehensive assortment of color
hues from basic colors to special paints for historic figures,
vehicles, aircraft, military models, etc. The manufacturers

have now put together three cases of paint, each featuring
a collection of 72 color hues. These cases are there to simp-
lify the selection process for the painter, but also to simulta-
neously make a fitting and multi-variant spectrum available
to him or her. The Basic Case delivers a theme-independent
basic color assortment. The Military Case contains – as the
name indicates – mostly sand, brown, green, and gray hues
that are suitable for designing military models of all types.
The Combinations Case is perfect for anyone who places va-
lue on precise shading and highlights. The set offers a selec-
tion of base colors together with suitable lighter and darker
paint nuances for highlights and shading. The paints come
in 17 ml bottles for each of the three various sets. Each set
also includes 3 Toray pointed paintbrushes and a color over-
view chart.

These Model Color Cases are available at specialty airbrush
and model construction shops for 275 Euro (RRP).

Vallejo Model Color Cases: Just the right color hue on hand

Textile paints are usually thick and not exactly known for
their optimal flowability. Dye-Na-Flow from the American
manufacturer Jacquard is different. These highly transpa-
rent fluid textile paints very much simulate a real colorant in
that they spread out on the textile and are softly absorbed
by the fibers instead of simply resting on them. There are
30 lively and intensive color hues, which dry to the point of
being wash-resistant and do not leave any noticeable tex-
ture on the textiles.

Dye-Na Flow can be sprayed with an airbrush, but is also
highly suitable for use with a paintbrush and image-setting.
Once it has dried, the paint should be fastened with an
iron for 3 minutes. In addition to natural and synthetic fab-
rics, this product can be used with surfaces made of paper,
wood, clay, canvas, and leather. The paint comes in contai-
ners measuring 60 ml to 3,8 l. Prices begin at app. 4,50 EUR
/ 4 US $.
