Poem
“Oh mother moon, your silver beams
Keep pulling like the tide...
I long to land upon your sand
And stay there by your side.”
The lovely moon at once replies,
“I’m never far away...
I’m always here, just disappear
When night turns into day...”
In outer space the planets spin,
The earth keeps turning round
Until the moth has had enough
And tumbles to the ground.
In the gentle glow of the silvery moon
The moth unfolds her wings -
‘No more’, she sighs, ‘no more,’ she cries
And ‘nevermore,’ she sings...
