The Mekong is a trans-boundary

river in Southeast Asia and is the

lifeblood of Southeast Asia as the

12th longest river in the world

and the 7th longest in Asia.

Running 4,345km from its

headwaters in the Tibetan Plateau

to the South China Sea.

The Mekong River, swollen

by rainforest tributaries

feeds Southeast Asia with

its abundant fish population,

irrigates the surrounding

lands, and has rich soil. It

descends through a

landscape ripening into

jungle.
