Yellow-footed Green Pigeon
Binomial Name: Treron phoenicoptera
The Yellow-footed Green Pigeon is a common resident bird of Bangladesh. It is found in allthe forests of Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Sylhet. It usually roams in small
groups of 5 to 20. They are lifelong arborists. It comes down to the ground to drink onlywater. The leading food of the Yellow-footed Green Pigeon is a small fruit. Breeding season
is from March to June; this time, they call in a sweet melody. They build their nests behindthe dense leaves on the high branches of the trees.
