The Common Greenshank is a common migratory bird that comes to Bangladesh in winterfrom faraway Scandinavia and Siberia. Our country's grazing area is from the banks of
rivers, islands, estuaries, haors, banks, and chars to small marshland reservoirs. They canbe seen alone or sometimes in small groups. They eat food by walking in water or dipping
their lips. Food includes aquatic insects and their larvae, shrimp, snails, and small fish.During the breeding season of April-June, they make nests by scraping the ground next to
dead trees in their native forests.
