The Black-headed Munia is an uncommon resident bird of Bangladesh. Black-headedMunias roam in small mixed flocks in tall grass meadows, swamps, mangrove forests,
paddy fields and small thickets in almost all divisions. They eat grass seeds and paddy ingrasslands or paddy fields. During the breeding season from May to November, they make
nests of leaves and grasses in swamp reeds, bushes or sugarcane fields and lay theireggs.
