Scaly-breasted Munia
Binomial Name: Lonchura punctulata
The Scaly-breasted Munia is a common resident grass-bird of Bangladesh. They roam inlarge flocks in crop fields, grasslands, reed forests, orchards and bushes, feeding on grass
seeds, succulent fruits and insects, and rice or other grains. During the breeding seasonfrom May to September, they nest under the leaves of date palms, vines or other shrubs.
