The bar-headed goose is one of the world's highest-flying birds, having been heard flyingacross Mount Makalu – the fifth highest mountain on earth at 8,481 m – and seen over
Mount Everest at 8,848 m – although this is a second-hand report with no verification.The Bar-headed goose is an uncommon migratory bird of Bangladesh. In winter, it roams
in the coastal areas of Bangladesh. You can find it roaming this country on the banks of
large rivers, uninhabited coastal islands, and water bodies covered by vegetation. Althoughit is usually eaten at night, it is also seen during the day on the islands.
