1 Prepare the jigsaw piece by sanding,
applying gesso and two coats of
Snowflake paint. Create drips with a
green Inktense block and water.

2 Heat emboss the number image onto
the right hand side of the jigsaw piece,
using VersaMark ink and Seafoam
White embossing powder.

3 Paint on a coat of translucent Zesty
Zing, and then quickly wipe through
a stencil using a baby wipe to create
pattern on the jigsaw piece.

to finish the project: Gibi was stuck onto the puzzle piece and then it was time for a quote. I hand stamped a positive affirmation
(using alphabet stamps) that I had scribbled onto a scrap of paper during my project making. I simply stamped each word onto
white cardstock and then decided to mount onto black, creating a little border to make the words ‘pop’ more on the background.

4 Created a random polka dot pattern on
the puzzle piece using Caribbean Sea
paint and an old stylus.

5 Add more polka dots, this time using
the stylus with VersaMark ink. Heat
emboss with pink embossing powder.

6 Build up a stamped border on the left
hand side of the jigsaw piece using
Black Archival ink.

7 Roll beads in VersaMark ink and
embossing powder, before heat
embossing using coordinating colours.
The beads could also be painted!

8 After punching holes into the puzzle
piece, thread the beads onto ribbon and
attach using knots at the back.

9 Colour the focal image using alcohol
pens and watercolour pencils to add
dimension and shading.
