THE CAST WEATHERFIELD EXTRA

TV TIMES 23

W

eatherfield’s a small
place, and Robert is
given a scary reminder
of that this week as he
juggles the two women in his life.
He’s pleased as punch when
pregnant ex Vicky tells him her
son Tyler has been invited to a
youth awards ceremony. But he’s
a nervous wreck when he learns
Michelle is doing the catering, and
he’s further panicked when Tracy
delivers food to the event and sees
him giving Vicky a hug.
Robert has already had
a close call before his
nightmare predicament.
Earlier, Tyler rings to tell
him that his mum is ill.
The chef says he’ll try to
visit, only for fiery Vicky
to burst into the Bistro,
complaining she’s sick of
playing second fiddle.
Fortunately for Robert,
Michelle and Ryan are
out with Alya on a job.

But unfortunately Vicky is then
struck down with stomach pains,
and he’s forced to abandon ship
to take her to hospital.
‘When Michelle and co return,
they find pans bubbling away in
the kitchen, and Robert AWOL,’
reveals our Corrie insider.
‘Michelle rings Robert, who lies
that he’s at the wholesalers.’
At Weathy General, Vicky tells
Robert about Tyler’s achievement,
and there’s more good news when
the doctor

reveals that the baby is fine –
Vicky actually has gallstones.
But back on the cobbles,
Robert finds out about Chelle’s
involvement in the awards do.
He urges Vicky not to attend,
but as he helps his fiancée serve
canapés, he spots the mum
and son across the room. He
ushers Vicky out, but then Tracy
arrives and demands answers.
Can Robert put her off the scent?
When Vicky later admits
she’s lonely, Robert
agrees to stay over at her
place, occasionally. He
lies to Michelle that he

has been asked to mentor at
a young offenders’ unit, which
will mean nights away. But Carla
questions how he got the job,
given his criminal record. When
his phone then pings with a
message, suspicious Carla grabs it.
Robert wheedles his way out
of the situation, but when he
heads round to Vicky’s, he’s thrown
to see her ex, Jed. Are Robert’s
troubles about to get even bigger?

Caught out?

Lies: How will
Robert explain

things to Tracy?

Expect David Platt to come out of
prison sporting a suntan. Jack P
Shepherd, who has been playing the
hairdresser since 2000, has taken
advantage of his character being
banged up off-screen by going on
holiday with girlfriend Hanni Treweek.

‘We did loads,’ Jack tells us. ‘We
went to the Dominican Republic, and
then went to New York on the way
back home. In the past, they’ve put
make-up on me to cover up the tan,
but it just makes me look grey, so
we’re leaving it this time round.’
