for making perfectly fi tting hinge slots. Priced at $11.50, the Du-Bro Hinge Slotter
Kit (#660) takes the hassle out of cutting multiple slots in control surfaces. Th e
centering/parallel guide centers the hinge slotters, and it can be used on material up
to 3/4 inch wide. Th e kit includes tools to make three diff erent-size slots, which fi t
mini, standard, and heavy-duty hinges, and a picker to remove the unwanted waste
material. Designed specifi cally to work with all Du-Bro hinges, the slotter and the
picker tools come with sturdy red nylon handles.
After you determine your hinge locations, use the centering guide and simply
press the appropriate slotter tool into the edge of your control surface. Th en with a
rocking motion, continue pressing it into the edge. Remove the slotter and then use
