ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo

Productivity

powerhouse

ASUS has been raising the bar for innovation
and performance in the last few years, and
at Computex 2019, it unveiled a device that’s
nothing short of wild.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581) has not
one, but two 4K screens. There’s the usual 15-
inch 16:9 OLED panel, and then there’s a full-
width 32:9 IPS ScreenPad Plus directly above
the keyboard that’s half the height of the main
display. It’s like the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar
on steroids.

The ScreenPad Plus is a 14-inch full-width
secondary touchscreen that expands and
enhances the interactive capabilities offered
by the original ASUS ScreenPad. It integrates
seamlessly with the primary display and
functions just like a second attached screen
would. You can tile windows on it or vertically
span a single window.

When editing videos, you can have the
editing timeline displayed on the ScreenPad
Plus so you’ll have more space on the main
display for the video itself. ScreenPad Plus
can also help with multitasking. You can, for
example, book a flight on the main display
and have the maps and calendar apps on the
secondary display.

The ScreenPad Plus comes loaded with
ASUS apps that help boost productivity.
There’s Quick Key for one-tap automation of
complex keyboard sequences; Handwriting for
inputting text; and Task Group opens multiple
tasks with a single touch, among others. You
can also add third-party apps like Spotify,
Netflix, and Facebook if you wish.

Designed for extreme performance, the
ZenBook Pro Duo is equipped with up to
a 9th-generation Intel Core i9 eight-core
processor with up to 5GHz Turbo Boost
frequency and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. It also
comes with a gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce
RTX 2060 GPU, powered by the NVIDIA
Turing architecture.
