f your kids are climbing up the walls
during summer break, then perhaps it’s
time to channel all that energy into a
family fitness session. Fly High Fitness
has launched Summer Saturdays, a range
of classes designed with the whole family in
mind. Little ones aged four and up can try
their hand at gymnastics with a tumbling
and trampolining lesson while you unwind
with a well-deserved stretching session.
Teens and adults can do a cycling endurance
or yoga class, or the whole troop can come
together for boxing and bootcamp.
“As our children grow, they absorb

information from all around them,” says
Blake Stemm of Fly High Fitness. “With
programmes like Summer Saturdays, we
hope to guide the whole family in achieving a
longer, more fruitful life through health and
wellness.” Not only will you get fit (and let
the kids burn of steam), you’ll also discover
some feel-good benefits. “Training together
brings the family unit closer together. Plus,
it can allow the inner child in all of us to
surface,” says Blake.

Now that Dubai is hotter than
your average Bikram yoga studio,
we’re daydreaming of cool-weather
pursuits. And although the
European ski season may be over,
there’s never been a better time
to perfect your piste moves. The
first Maxxtracks indoor ski slope
in the Middle East, Infinite Ski in
Al Quoz offers two rotating slopes
where you can practice skiing and
snowboarding on a surface that
simulates real snow. If you’ve never
hit the slopes before, this is the
ideal place to learn – apparently
you can master the art up to 10
times faster than you would in situ,
thanks to the optimum conditions
and tips from the expert trainers.
Plus, your trial session is free.
