● CYCLING / 10.45am /
Eurosport 1/ITV4
LIVE
It’s stage eight of
the most famous
- and prestigious – cycling
race in the world, and
there’s a 200km hilly climb
from Macon to St Etienne.
Maybe the sweet smell
coming from Beaujolais’
vineyards will give the
cyclists, including UK’s
Geraint Thomas, a bit
of a boost. HHHHLP

The battle rounds kicked
off last week, with coaches
Jessie J, Pixie Lott, Danny
Jones and will.i.am
beginning the process of
choosing which singers
they want in their teams
of three for next week’s
semi-final. Danny and
Will have two spots still
to fill, while Jessie and
Pixie need one more singer
each. Which pint-sized
pop stars will stand out?

TV’s Black Renaissance
● DOCUMENTARY / 9pm / BBC2
NEW
...Reggie Yates in Hollywood.
There’s a revolution in the
world of television: shows with mainly
African-American casts and writers
- Black-ish, Insecure, Master of None –
are rocking ratings from network to
network. In this one-off documentary,
Reggie Yates talks to some of the most
exciting talent in Hollywood, from
True Detective’s Mahershala Ali (who won
Best Supporting Actor Oscars for Green
Book and Moonlight) to Lena Waithe,
co-writer of the Netflix comedy drama
Master of None. Reggie doesn’t beat about
the bush here, looking at the issues raised
and addressed in these shows, and how
the work has been received and viewed
in Trump’s America. HHHHLB
Moon Launch Live
● FACTUAL / 8pm / C4
NEW
Let C4 transport you back
50 years to 16 July 1969 and
that amazing moment when three US
astronauts were blasted into space –
destination the Moon. Many of the 500
million watching around the world were
awestruck that such a monumental feat
could have been achieved in their lifetime
(many conpiracy theorists still believe it
never actually happened!), but with the
aid of NASA archive, global TV footage,
and adverts and news reports from the era,
those of us who weren’t born then can
now experience the excitement of launch
day and that epic countdown... HHHHLP

Killing Eve
● DRAMA / 9.15pm / BBC1
It’s definitely more satisfying when Villanelle’s victim
is a nasty piece of work, so there’s much fun to be had
watching her circling unpleasant tech squillionaire Aaron
Peel. Pretending to be an American recovering addict,
Villanelle befriends his sister at an AA meeting to get
closer to her controlling sibling. Meanwhile, Eve finds
Niko shacked up with Gemma and heads off to confront
them at her house, where this episode’s title (I Hope You
LikeMissionary) is soon explained. HHHHSM
