Belle’s movie star dad Tamer Hassan gives
his verdict on Anton Danyluk and reveals
he’d like to get to know him on a road trip!

upid’s arrow appeared to
have hit its mark when
Belle Hassan and Anton
Danyluk cosied up in the
Casa Amor villa. And despite a
brief bust-up – the make-up artist
accused her Scottish beau of
mugging her off during a game
of snog, marry or pie – the pair
appear to have grown closer
than ever.
But if Anton, 24, believes Belle,
21, is feisty, he won’t know what’s
hit him when he meets her dad,
Tamer Hassan. When we sit
down with the actor, who starred
alongside Danny Dyer in The
Business in 2005, to discuss his
daughter’s antics on the show,
he admits he has a soft spot for
Anton, but says he won’t tolerate
any funny business!
“I don’t get involved in the
relationships when it comes
to bickering and arguing,” he
explains. “But if you’re rude,
swear or if you’re aggressive,
then you’ve got a major problem.”Nevertheless, the hard man
admits he’s happy to see Belle
being herself, even if it does mean
he has to skip through any saucy
scenes on the dating show.
Here, the 51-year-old film star
dishes the dirt on Belle’s cheating
exes, her raunchy antics and why
he’d be happy to let Anton move
into their family home...Hi Tamer! How do you think
Belle is getting on?
She’s doing really well. I was a
little bit nervous when she said
she wanted to go on the show.
At the start I had to watch it with
one eye closed and behind a
pillow, but now she’s found her
feet. She’s like my best friend,
so I’m really missing her.
Has anything been difficult
to watch?
I always skip past the bit when
it shows them getting into bed!
Seeing that has been tough.
What about the dirty dancing
challenge?
I did end up watching that and
it was very funny. She was veryentertaining. Belle’s come
out her shell and she’s
become confident. I try
to look at it that way!
When I see her get
upset, that’s the toughest
to watch. Thankfully,
she’s only had one
little blip with
Anton behaving
the way he has
and she put him
in his place.
How would you
feel if they went
into the Hideaway?
I’m praying to the
heavens they don’t have to
go there. I hope that doesn’t
happen. The producers are
probably going to put them in
there now, knowing my luck.
I wouldn’t be happy.
Have you seen a different side
to Belle?
She’s just being herself. I’ve
seen the fun side of her come
out. She looks a little bit more
confident. In the past we would
tell her to get involved withthings, but she would
never do anything silly. It’s good
to see her have a laugh. She was
very shy and quiet before.
Does she want to settle down?
She likes to be with someone and
she obviously did go in there to
find someone. She’s had a couple
of boyfriends who’ve cheated on
her. She’s had a bit of heartbreak
and a bad time with relationships.
She just needs to have a laugh,
