Body behind
shop freezer
THE body of a shop worker
who vanished 10 years ago
has been found in an 18in
gap behind a freezer.
Larry Ely Murillo-
Moncada went missing in
November 2009. The
25-year-old was identified
by DNA from his parents.
Workers at a former
supermarket in Council
Bluffs, Iowa, discovered his
remains behind a freezer,
where police said staff
sometimes hid on a break.
Mr Murillo-Moncada is
thought to have fallen and
become trapped.
Ward triplets
at the double
TWO sets of triplets have
been born at the same
hospital within 24 hours.
Brendan and Kirsty
McMenamin, of Downpat-
rick, Co Down, Northern
Ireland, welcomed Zoey,
Cameron and Brody at the
Ulster Hospital in
Dundonald last Tuesday.
The siblings weighed in
at between 4.7lb and 5lb.
The next day, Claire and
Johnny Stewart, of Dona-
ghadee, became parents to
Annie, Libby and Evie, who
tipped the scales at
between 4.4lb and 5.1lb.

encouraged as part of a healthy diet”.
Lisa Wilde, director of Bowel
Cancer UK, told how the findings –
which were published in Clinical
Gastroenterology and Hepa-
tology – added to the
“growing body of
evidence that fish may
help reduce the risk of
bowel cancer”.
The disease is the
fourth most common
cancer in the UK and has
the second-highest death
rate. More than 40,
cases of bowel cancer are diagnosed
in the UK each year.

EATING fish cuts the chances of
getting cancer, a study found.
Research tracking nearly half a
million Europeans over 15 years
found those who ate more
than three portions of fish
a week were less likely to
get bowel cancer.
The World Cancer
Research Fund-backed
study showed it cut their
risk by as much as 12%.
Dr Anna Diaz Font, of
the WCRF, said the
reasons were not fully
understood, but it could be down to
“fatty acids such as Omega-3”.
