How to access secret features of your iPhone using

special keypad combinations in the Phone app

id you know that your iPhone comes with its own

set of manufacturer codes that are used to access

detailed information about the device? Typing

these codes into the Phone app’s keypad allows you to

access hidden modes, troubleshoot any issues that you

may be having with your device and even mask your calls.

As these codes aren’t generally well-known, getting the

definitive list is tricky and some codes that worked with

earlier models of iPhone are no longer applicable to the

more modern devices (they’ll be met with the ‘Unknown

command’ dialogue). All of the codes printed here have

been tested to work on the latest iPhones, so give them a

go if you want to explore the various modes and features

that they offer. Also, in most cases, simply repeat the code

to disable the effects.

Step-by-step Use secret Phone app codes

Block your number

You can block your number for the next

outgoing call by pressing #31# followed by the

phone number you’re all calling. Press *#31#

to block your number for ALL outgoing calls.

View IMEI number

This code is useful to know if you’re trying

to find a stolen iPhone or if you need to get

your device repaired. Press *#06# and press

call to be able to view your IMEI number.

Enter Field Test Mode

This mode gives you instant access to all

of your iPhone’s cell and network information

as well as some personal info. To access this

mode, enter *3001#12345#* and press call.
