Don’t panic! If you have purchased
something previously, perhaps through
iTunes, then the item will never be
‘gone’. The chances are it’s just been
lost in the move, perhaps during the
transition from macOS High Sierra to
Mojave or Catalina, or the media has
simply been re-classified by Apple.
For example, what you purchased as
a podcast may now be an audiobook.
Here we’ll show you how to track down
your missing audiobooks.

1

Open Books
Start off by launching your Mac’s Books
app, click on the ‘Book Store’ tab at the top of
the screen and then go to the main ‘Featured’
section by clicking on it in the sidebar.

2

Find your purchases
Now you should see a sidebar to the
right of the interface featuring Quick Links.
Click on the ‘Purchased’ option and all of your
purchased books will be listed.

4

Click on the cloud
The audiobooks not currently in your
library should all be sporting small iCloud icons.
Click on these to re-download the audiobooks
to your Books app library.

3

Re-download items
At the top of the interface, click on ‘Not in
My Library’ and then click on the ‘Audiobooks’
category to list all of the audiobooks that you
have ever purchased through iTunes.
