Directions



  1. Season the chicken breasts with a pinch of salt and pepper. Place a large saucepan over
    medium high heat. Heat the oil in it. Brown in it the chicken for 12 min. drains it and
    places it aside.

  2. Reserve 2 tbsp of the fat in the pan and discard the excess. Sauté the shallots in the same
    pan for 7 min over medium heat.

  3. Combine in the cinnamon sticks, ginger, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne. Cook them for 2
    min while stirring all the time. Stir in the broth with 3 tbsp of lemon juice. Cook them until
    they start boiling over high heat. Put on the lid and lower the heat and let it cook for 20
    min.

  4. Add the chicken breasts top pan then cook them again until they start boiling. Lower the
    heat and put on the lid.

  5. Let the stew cook for 27 min. drain the shallot with chicken and place them aside. Cook
    the remaining broth in the pot until it start boiling.

  6. Keep it boiling until it starts becoming thick. Combine in the dates with the remaining
    lemon juice. Lower the heat and cook them for 3 min until the dates soften. Pour the date’s
    sauce mix over the chicken and shallots. Sprinkle the cilantro with almonds on top. Serve
    them warm. Enjoy.
