Step Four: Next, go to Filter>Filter Gallery and open the Texture
folder. Select the Texturizer filter, and set the Texture to Sandstone,
the Scaling to 106%, and the Relief to 13. Click OK. Then, apply a
Gaussian Blur filter through Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Use a Radius
of 0.5 Pixels to create a slight blur to soften the intensity of the
previous filters. Click OK.
Step Three: Time for a bevy of filters! Go to
Filter>Camera Raw Filter, set the Exposure to
–1, Contrast to +39, Highlights to –63, Shadows
to +100, and Whites to +34. Set Blacks, Texture,
Clarity, and Dehaze all to the maximum of +100.
Reduce the Vibrance to –100 and the Saturation to
–19. Switch to the Detail tab and set the Amount
to 150. These extreme settings go a long way to
creating that rough stone appearance. Click OK.
