Bengal ears are a struggle to get right. Jon’s cats traditionally have better ears than my cats whose ears are

too triangular. Yet, he often gets comments from fellow breeders and judges that his cats’ ears are too big. I

wrote this to explain how in order to get to the perfect Bengal ear, we are likely going to have to go through

phases of ”too big.” I’ve also added an explanation on why over groomed ears end up the perfect in shape. I’m

seeing more and more over groomed ears on social media. I don’t know if that is simply the result of being

exposed to more pictures or if there is an increase of anxiety in the breed causing more queens to over

groom.

Christi BatesGood post, i myself, like the bigger ears 1

Quality Bengal KittensChristi Bates - size shouldn’t be the focus. Shape. My goal was to get people to be about round ears - even if it takes going through big to get to
small. 2
