I painted the palm trees using
lemon yellow, viridian, sap green,
burnt sienna and ultramarine blue.
Day-Glo yellow and white highlights
were added to draw the eye to the left
side of the composition. I drew details
of the palm tree on the right and
coconuts on the ground.5
I painted the palm trees and foliage

I completed the painting with shadows
on the ground, using ultramarine blue,
