FOLD THIS MAGAZINE INTO A FLOWER

STEP 7


Take the point
from the bottom of
the diamond, and
fold it up, revealing
the creased layers
below. Repeat this
step on each side of
the diamond until
you have one small
triangle that looks
like fig. 7b in the
diagram above.

STEP 8


Fold the triangle
in half to the right, so
you have one
small right-angle
triangle.

STEP 9


Fold the top
point down and to
the right, across the
shape, so that your
shape now looks
like fig. 9b, with
a point sticking
out to the right.

STEP 10


Unfold the tip,
and reverse the fold to
the left, then flip the
shape over so that the
smaller folded point is
coming from behind
the form (fig. 10a).
Then, take the point
in your hand, and flip
the piece so that the
eight folded edges are
facing up toward you.

STEP 11


Fan out each of the
eight folded edges
(figs. 11a and 11b)
and then press
down so that each
crease shifts from
convex to concave,
making petals from
the flap layers.

STEP 12


Now thatyouhave
the hangofit,keep
making moreflowers.
Any square pieceof
paper atany sizewill
work. Nest smaller
flowersinsidelarger
ones formoreornate
blooms.If youhave
pipe cleaners,youcan
make stemsforyour
flowers.Oryoucan
use stringtomake
them intoa garland.
