Sing someone’s praises when
you stitch them this swallow!

Paris perfection
I wanted to share a project with you that I made for my brother.
This design is called Paris in the Rain and took me about four
months to complete. It’s one of the most difficult kits I’ve stitched
and I’m ver y pleased with myself for finishing it.
Tracey Stanton, Buckingham
Emma says: A round of applause to you, Tracey! This is such
a realistic piece – it’s like looking at a painted picture. If you’re
searching for a bit of a quicker stitch after this one, you might fancy
our Eiffel Tower spring cushion, designed by Lesley Teare, on page

  1. Your brother might like it, too. Happy stitching!

What a hit!
Here’s a picture of Howard Donald that
I stitched from issue 263 – he’s just
waiting to be framed. I sometimes sell
my stitching – The Woolie Witch is my
Facebook page and Etsy seller name.
I sell some projects at craft shows,
but mainly sell knitting supplies. I find
stitching so much more relaxing as a
craft, though, and have subscribed to
Crazy and The World of Cross Stitching.
Tess Lane, Poole
Alison says: It makes me so happy to
see our Celeb Stitch projects stitched
up! You’ve definitely brought Howard
to life, Tess, and we’re sure he’ll look
dashing once he’s framed, too. Thank
you for sharing your finish with us!

Gifts galore!
I just thought I’d show you my latest work! I managed to
stitch Christmas cards for all my friends last year, as well as
make a few beaded ones that I saw on Kirstie’s Handmade
Christmas. I also made some jewellery and a little box to
keep it in, with a charm on the top of the box. And I made
some notebooks, including one featuring the Eye of Ra.
Karen White, Poole
Emma says: Wow! You’ve clearly been busy, Karen. Your
friends are very lucky to know a generous stitcher like you.

S Karen stitched and
made up cards for all
her friends last year
Winter fun
I finally finished my lovely winter project,
and here it is! It’s hanging up on the wall in
the bedroom now that it’s finished.
Paulina Marton, Worcester
Emily says: This is one of my favourite
Margaret Sherry designs, Paulina! I love
the little mouse twirling off the back of the
sled – it really gives it the illusion of speed!
Thanks for sharing this finish.
