It was another banner year for the
KCC baseball team, which secured
its seventh consecutive MCCAA
Western Conference champion-
ship and ninth NJCAA Region XII
championship in program history.
The Bruins finished their season at
the NJCAA Division II World Series
tournament on Memorial Day in
Enid, OK with 44-12 record overall.

Midwest Select U13 volleyball


excels at nationals


The Midwest Select U13 national-level youth volleyball squad that practices
out of the Battle Creek Y Center and is coached by Terra King and Bre
Johnson finished in ninth place out of 93 teams in its division at the AAU
National Tournament that was held the week of June 10-16 in Orlando, FL.
The squad posted a 10-0 pool play record before losing its first match in the
Gold championship bracket. Team members who competed in Florida (from

Summer Property Tax Notice


TO: Marshall Township Property Owners
Summer 2024 property tax bills will be mailed the week of July 1st.
Marshall Township is currently accepting applications for summer
2024 Property Tax deferments until September 15, 2024. Pursuant
to MCL 211.51, eligible property taxpayers may defer until
February 14, 2025, without penalty or interest, the due date of their
summer 2024 property taxes on their principal residence or other
eligible property, if their gross income for 2023 did not exceed
$40,000, AND they are: 1) 62 years of age or older, including the
unmarried spouse of a person was 62 years or older at the time
of death; 2) a paraplegic or quadriplegic; 3) an eligible service
person, eligible veteran, or their eligible widow or widower; 4) a
blind person; OR, 5) a totally and permanently disabled person.
Taxpayers who farm agricultural property may also qualify.
Marshall Township property owners needing further information
may either phone the Township Assessor office on Tuesdays 9:00
a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 269-781-7976 or may go the Michigan
Department of Treasury website at http://www.Michigan.gov/taxes and
then select “Property Taxes” and then “Property Tax Deferments”.
