baseball players earned postsea-
son Michigan Community College
Athletic Association and/or National
Junior College Athletic Association
awards for their performance on the
field this past season, plus head KCC
baseball coach Eric Laskovy earned
multiple Coach of the Year honors.
Among this year’s award win-
ners is sophomore infielder Aaron
Piasecki, who earned NJCAA First
Team All-American honors as well
as the MCCAA’s coveted Dick
Shilts Male Student-Athlete of the
Year award – which recognizes one
male and female student-athlete from
the MCCAA “who excels in their
sport, in the classroom and in co-
curricular activities,” according to
the MCCAA.
Piasecki also was this year’s
Outstanding Male Scholar Athlete at
KCC, recognized at the Outstanding
Bruin Awards ceremony this spring.
