PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Leroy Township Planning Commission will conduct
a Public Hearing on August 14, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the
Leroy Township Community Hall, 8146 4 Mile Road, East
Leroy, Michigan 49051.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider
re-zoning property at 5753 B Drive South from Highway
Commercial (HC) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC). The
property is owned by Don Loveland, 5903 Soaring Eagle
Way, Battle Creek, MI 49014, and the hearing is being held
under Article XXVII (Amendment Procedure) of the Leroy
Township Zoning Ordinance.
Property No. 13-14-010-039-00 (commonly known as
5753 B Drive South).
Individuals wishing to comment may do so at this
public hearing, or you may submit written comments to
the following address: Leroy Township Office, 8156 4
Mile Road, East Leroy, Michigan 49051. Attn: LOVELAND
re-zoning. All written comments shall be entered into the
public record and must be received by 4:00 pm on August
14, 2024.
A copy of the proposed re-zoning request is available
for public review at the Leroy Township Office, 8156 4 Mile
Road, East Leroy, Michigan 49051, during normal busi-
ness hours, and on the Leroy Township website at http://www.
leroytwp-calhounmi.gov under News & Announcements.

car and truck show


complete with vintage


autos.


On Sunday, Aug.


11, from 8:30 a.m. to


1 p.m., “any and all


wheels are welcome,”


including cars, trucks,


tractors, motorcycles


and anything else in


between, to be on


exhibit at the Barry


Township Park in


Delton, said organiz-


ers.


The fun event will


be free to both exhibi-


tors and spectators


alike; free will dona-


tions are welcome.


This year’s event


promises to be bigger


and better with new offerings, said


organizers.


Dash plaques will be given to the


first 45 vehicles to register on site


that morning.
New this year, exhibitors and spec-
tators will be able to vote for three
People’s Choice Awards.

Voting will end at
noon, and awards will
be presented at 1 p.m.
at the park pavilion.
Food and bever-
ages will be available
throughout the day.
A worship service
will also take place at
the park pavilion at 10
a.m., provided by local
participating churches.
Attendees are encour-
aged to bring a lawn
chair and enjoy the day.
Spectator entrance
and parking will be
located by the Barry
Township offices at
155 E. Orchard St. in
Delton.
Show cars will have
a separate entrance on
M-43, just north and
across from Family
Fare.
