PASSAGE OF ORDINANCE


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Battle Creek City Commission adopted the following
ordinances:
ORDINANCE 15-2024

To adopt Ordinance 15-2024, amending chapter 882 “Real Estate Taxation” by amending
Section 23, modifying the terms of a Payment in Lieu of Taxes for the Housing Development to
be known as “Station Side Lofts.”
ORDINANCE 16-2024

To adopt Ordinance 16-2024, amending chapter 882 “Real Estate Taxation” by amending
Section 22, modifying the terms of a Payment in Lieu of Taxes to Northern Pines Apartments
previously approved on October 17, 2023.
ORDINANCE 17-2024

To adopt Ordinance 17-2024, amending chapter 882 “Real Estate Taxation” by amending
Section 24, modifying the terms of a Payment in Lieu of Taxes for the Housing Development to
be known as “Manchester Place.”

At the regular meeting of the Battle Creek City Commission held Tuesday, September 17,

BC Fire advances to quarterfinals


The 2011 BC Fire Girls Blue soccer team has advanced to the quarterfinals
of the 2024 MSYSA U14 Premier division in Saginaw. The team finished in
first place in its division, posting a 2-0-2 record and a +13 goal differential.

players, she did make a comment
on Facebook about the community’s
efforts in her behalf.
“She was just really grateful and
overwhelmed with the showing,”
said Wiley about Belote’s Facebook
post.
Harper Creek defeated the
Pennfield varsity squad, while the
junior varsity team defeated Harper
Creek in two sets, said Wiley.
“A huge thank you to everybody
who took the time,” said Wiley,
“whether it was a donation of a gift
to the silent auction, purchasing tick-
ets or showing support in the stands.
It was appreciated.”
Parent Konnie Wilson said that she
wanted to serve on the Block Out
Cancer Committee because Belote
is supportive of all of the girls,
including those from Harper Creek
and other parts of the city when
she coaches the Midwest Select
Volleyball Club.
“My daughter plays varsity and she
actually never played for Hannah
personally but Hannah’s been a big
influence,” said Wilson, “so I would
do anything for her.”
