so she can expand to more events.
She wants to increase marketing.
And, she wants to hire more staff.
Now, with the $10,000 first place
award in the Food and Beverage
Business category she collected
Saturday at the 2nd Food Prize at
Kellogg Arena, Kiyona Garrett of
Rock N Roll Creamery can do just
that.
“We are so excited,” said Garrett.
“We thank God for this. We’re just
really shocked but we’re so excited
for what’s to come for our next
season. We’re excited for our food
truck, we’re excited to bring our
healthier options to the community.
We can’t wait to unveil what’s next
for Rock N Roll Creamery.”
Anyone wanting to catch up with
the Battle Creek business, which
specializes in rolled ice cream, can
do so at Rock N Roll Creamery on

“We’re very excited,” said co-own-
er Monjur Hossen, who pitched at
the event, along with Foyzumnessa
Yasmin. “We will be basically able
to make that next step with our busi-
ness. We’re trying to get in to some
of the retail coffee shops, some
specialty outlets. This will help with
the process because it’s very time
consuming.”
Hossen said it took him several
months to prepare to make his pitch
to the judges at the event Saturday.
