On Oct.27, 940, Later Chin envoys to the Khitan court offered

and another to Southern T’ang court (Liao shih 4:6a).
On Nov.17, 940, a Khitan envoy on a goodwill mission was received
at the Later Chin court. He presented 100 horses, jade horse trap-
pings, fox furs, embroidered bow cases etc. (Chiu Wu-tai shih 79:6b;
Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5035).
On Nov.30, 940, Later Chin envoys to the Khitan court offered
plain cloth and announced [Kao-tsu’s] intention personally to sacrifice
to the Southern Sacred Mountain (in Hu-nan) (Liao shih 4:6a).
On Dec.9, 940, a Southern T’ang envoy to the Khitan court offered
a letter on secret affairs in a ball of wax (Liao shih 4:6a).^30
On Jan.5, 941, T’ai-tsung sent envoys to the Later Chin court

On Feb.14, 941, envoys from Southern T’ang to the Khitan court

On Mar.29, 941, a Later Chin envoy to the Khitan court offered
gifts (Liao shih 4:6b).
On Apr.12, 941, Later Chin envoys to the Khitan court presented
200 ounces of real gold (Liao shih 4:6b).
On May 28, 941,^31 Later Chin envoys to the Khitan court offered
cherries (Liao shih 4:6b).
