Chin envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court to congratulate on
the birthday of Hsiao-tsung^46 (Sung shih 34:25b; Chin shih 7:13a).
On Jan.21, 1178, the New Year’s Day, Sung envoys congratulated
at the Chin court. They had received their orders in the 10th month
(Oct./Nov.) of 1177. On the same day, a Governor and other Chin
envoys congratulated at the Southern Sung court. They had received
their orders on Dec.12, 1177, and arrived on Jan.17, 1178 (Sung shih
34:25b, 26a; Chin shih 7:14a, 14b).
On Mar.21, 1178, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court con-
gratulated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their
orders on Dec.19, 1177 (Sung shih 34:26a; Chin shih 7:15a).
On Dec.2, 1178, the Grand Judge and other Chin envoys arrived
at the Southern Sung court to congratulate on the birthday of Hsiao-
tsung.^47 They had received their orders on Oct.23 (Sung shih 35:2b;
Chin shih 7:15b).
On Feb.9, 1179, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys
congratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on
Nov.21, 1178. On the same day, Chin envoys congratulated at the
Southern Sung court. They had arrived on Feb.5, 1179 (Sung shih 35:
2b, 3b; Chin shih 7:17a).
On Apr.9, 1179, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court congratu-
lated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their orders
on Jan.11 (35:3a; Chin shih 7:17a).
On Nov.22, 1179, the Commissioner of the Palace Attendants of
the Left and other Chin envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court
to congratulate on the birthday of Hsiao-tsung.^48 They had received
their orders on Oct.5 (Sung shih 35:5a; Chin shih 7:18a).
On Jan.29, 1180, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys
congratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on
Nov.7, 1179. On the same day, Chin envoys congratulated at the
Southern Sung court. They had arrived on Jan.25, 1180 (Sung shih
35:4b, 5a; Chin shih 7:18b).
On Mar.28, 1180, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court con-
gratulated on the birthday of Shih-tsung (Sung shih 35:5a; Chin shih 7:
18b).
