On Mar.24, 1175, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court con-
gratulated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their
orders on Jan.3 (Sung shih 34:20a-20b).
On Sep.15, 1175, the Remonstrator of the Left and other Southern
Sung envoys were sent to the Chin court for discussions (Sung shih 34:
21b).
On Dec.5, 1175, a Governor and other Chin envoys arrived at
the Southern Sung court to congratulate on the birthday of Hsiao-
tsung.^43 They had received their orders on Oct.27 (Sung shih 34:22a;
Chin shih 7:8a).
On Feb.13, 1176, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys
congratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on
Nov.22, 1175. On Feb.12,^44 the Commissioner of the Palace Attendants
of the Right and other Chin envoys congratulated at the Southern
Sung court. They had received their orders on Dec.25, 1175, and
arrived on Feb.9, 1176 (Sung shih 34:22a, 22b; Chin shih 7:8b).
The birthday of Shih-tsung of Chin in 1176 fell on Apr.11. But
because of an eclipse of the sun, the celebration was postponed until
the following day. On Apr.12, the Sung envoys congratulated. They
had received their orders in the 12th month (Jan./Feb., 1176) of the
Chinese year 1175 (Sung shih 34:22b; Chin shih 7:9a).
On Nov.23, 1176, the Palace Inspector-general and other Chin
envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court to congratulate on the
birthday of Hsiao-tsung.^45 They had received their orders Oct.15,
1176 (Sung shih 34:24a; Chin shih 7:10a).
On Feb.1, 1177, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys
congratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on
Nov.14, 1176. On the same day, the Associate Administrator of the
Court of Palace Attendants and other Chin envoys congratulated at
the Southern Sung court. They had received their orders on Dec.19,
1176, and arrived on Jan.28 (Sung shih 34:24a; Chin shih 7:10a, 10b).
On Apr,1, 1177, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court congratu-
lated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their orders
on Dec.31, 1176 (Sung shih 34:24a; Chin shih 7:11b).
