Duringthewintermonths,wedouseourown

venue,whichhasfourrooms,aswellasvisits

toa localstudiotopractisephotographyusing

fixedlighting,speedlightsandstudiolights.

Duringsummer,wehavea numberof planned

photographicoutingswheremembersare

always on hand to offer help and advice if

needed. As a club, we also offer our services

to other clubs and charitable organisations in

the area, such as football, cricket and other

sporting clubs. We also cover such events as

carnivals, fun days, Buckley’s historic annual

Jubilee and we recently covered the Brain

Tumour Society’s annual twilight walk for its

social media and website channels.

What are the club’s goals for the future?

To continue to grow, and to offer our members

the very best facilities to help them improve

and expand their photographic knowledge

and abilities. Digital camera technology has

come such a long way in the past few years,

and nearly all of us carry a camera with us at

all times in the form of a smartphone. These

are more than capable of taking amazing

photographs, so why not get the best out

of them? Drone and video photography are

a big growth area currently and we aim to

expand wider than we currently do in those

areas. Our club currently has one licenced

drone operator in its membership.
