Wehadbeen
wondering for a
long time if Nintendo
would jump into the
virtual reality scene and all
of sudden it’s happened.
This is not the full,
premium VR experience
that we see with PSVR, but
more similar to the VR we
see with mobile phones.
Like the other Nintendo
Labo kits, it requires you
to build the headset first
from the cardboard-like
materials supplied with
the game. Depending
on whether you get the
base kit, or the full kit,
you can then build other
objects to use in the VR
games that are supplied.
The Blaster is in both kits,
while the full kit also hasa Camera,Bird,WindPedal
and Elephant. It’s a neat
idea and it’s such a unique
experience being able to
build something and then
use it in a game. While
the games themselves are
relatively basic minigame
like experiences. Just
understand it’s not as
immersive and mind-
blowing as the full VRexperience we
see on PlayStation
and PC.This spin-off to
the Dragon Ball
series takes a far
more different approach
to the gameplay than the
usual fighting games. It’s
a card game at its heart,
with RPG mechanics and
quick-time event combat.
The game stars a new
hero called Beat, although
familiar faces like Goku,
Trunks and Vegeta doappear in the story. Beat
himself is from Hero Town
and he competes in the
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
card game tournaments,
but things get crazy when
the fights from the card
game start happening in
his real life. Combat is very
different, with you playing
seven characters into a
fight and then managing
who battles and when.There are numerous
different dragon balls in
play, and when the moves
are unleashed it’s as
spectacular as we’ve come
to expect from the main
Dragon Ball games. There
are minigame like ways
of adding skill to some
moves, too. All up it’s a
super interesting new way
for fans to experience this
