The MK series has, with increased
frequency, offered more to do outside
of the story and online modes. In MK11
the Towers Of Time is a mode which lets
you undertake timed missions – some
will be simple and last for an hour,
whereas at the opposite end you’ll
find more difficult feats that can take
up to a week to achieve. This will be
one of the areas in which you can
unlock gear for your characters.
You won’t have to wait long at all

previous titles out of the water,

improvements, both in the way

The highs and lows of the many, many
Mortal Kombat adaptations
Throughout Mortal Kombat’s life there have been
attempts to adapt the franchise into other media with
varying degrees of success. The most notable of which
are the 1995 live-action movie of the same name and
the 2011 live-action webseries titled Mortal Kombat:
Legacy. The movie, though not exactly a classic, did
well enough to spawn a sequel. That sequel, however,
was awful and a financial failure. MK: Legacy came to
life thanks to a short film pitch by director Kevin
Tancharoen, which saw a more realistic take on the
franchise. The film wasn’t financed, but the concept
was liked enough to create a web series. Dotted around
these have been both live-action and animated TV
series, comic books, and even a music album.
