Abishag Cluster Knot
This is a slightly different take on the classic Solomon’s Knot
with clusters dotted throughout the pattern.
Main Solomon’s Knot (msk): Draw up long lp on hk, ch 1
through the long lp, sc in blp of msk.
Edge Solomon’s Knot (esk): Draw long lp on hk to about one-
half length of the msk, ch 1 through the long lp, sc in blp of esk.
Back Loop (blp): The back loop is the single strand of the
Solomon’s Knot made from the ch 1 (the double strand is the
front lp).
Ch 2.
Row 1 (WS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk, esk, in a multiple of 2 to
desired length, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st sc of esk, *msk twice, sk 1 esk, sc in
next sc of esk; rep from * across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 6, esk, *sk 1 sc, sk 1 msk, 3 dc-cl in next sc of msk,
msk,; rep from * across to last sc, esk, ttr in last sc, turn.
Row 4: Ch 4, msk, *sc in next dc-cl, msk twice; rep from * to
last dc-cl, sc in last dc-cl, msk, tr in top of t-ch, turn.
Row 5: Ch 2, dc in tr, *msk, sk 2 msk, 3 dc-cl in next sc of msk;
rep from * across to t-ch, 2 dc-cl in top of t-ch, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc-cl, *msk twice, sc in next dc-cl; rep
from * across, turn.
Rep rows 3–6 to desired length.
