Tunisian Purl Stitch.
By simply moving the yarn to the front of the project before inserting
your hook, you create an entirely different fabric. This stitch, which
mimics purling in knitting, is usually referred to as Tps.
Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps): Move yarn to front of work, insert hk,
from right to left, into front vert bar of next st, yo, pull up a lp.
Ch any number of sts.
Row 1 (RS) Fwd: Pull up lp in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across. Rtn:
Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep from *
to end.
Row 2 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st st.) Tps in each st across row.
Rtn: Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep
from * to end.
Rep row 2 to desired length.
Last row: *Tps in next st and pull through lp on hk; rep from * to end,

Tunisian Knit Stitch
This stitch mimics stockinette stitch in knitting almost perfectly,
except that Tunisian fabric is thicker than knitting. It makes for great,
sturdy bags. The stitch is often referred to as Tks.
Tunisian Knit Stitch (Tks): Insert hk, from front to back, btw front
and back vert bars and under all horiz bars of next st, yo, pull up a lp.
Ch any number of sts.
Row 1 (RS) Fwd: Pull up lp in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across. Rtn:
Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep from *
to end.
Row 2 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st st.) Tks across row. Rtn: Yo, pull
through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep from * to end.
Rep row 2 to desired length.
Last row: *Tks in next st and pull through lp on hk; rep from * to end,
fasten off.
