Twisted Simple Stitch
The columns of twisted stitches make a great simple fabric that works
for projects from scarves to vests. Because you are inserting the hook
from left to right, the opposite direction from Tss, the twisted stitch
will slant, or twist, the vertical bar to the right. When combined with
Tss, the two bars almost look like they are grouped together. This
stitch is commonly referred to as Twtss.
Twisted Simple Stitch (Twtss): Insert hk from left to right into front
vert bar of next st and pull up a lp.
Ch an odd number of sts.
Row 1 (RS) Fwd: Pull up lp in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across. Rtn:
Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep from *
to end.
Row 2 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1 st.) *Twtss in next st, Tss in next st;
rep from * across to end. Rtn: Work off lps as normal.
Rep row 2 to desired length.
Last row: *Twtss in next st and pull through lp on hk, Tss in next st
