HEXAGON MOTIFS

TIP

Whether you are hand sewing or crocheting hexa-
gon motifs together, you have a great opportunity
to play with their geometry for your benefit. For a
ceramic tile look, match tiles together on their
sides so that they nestle into the adjoining ones.
By joining hexagons in columns and then joining
the columns at the corners (keeping the motifs in
line with adjoining ones), you gain a void between
the motifs. Playing with other motifs to fill the
void can be just as much fun as the beauty that
unfolds.
