Clover Edging
The clovers on the last round of this fabric join together for an
incredibly unique edging.
Clover: Ch 7, sl st in prev clover last dc, dc in 5th ch, ch 4, sl st in
same ch, [ch 4, dc in same ch, ch 4, sl st in same ch] twice, ch 3.
The stitch pattern is a multiple of 6 on the sides. Join the yarn to
the edge with a sl st, and ch 1.
Rnd 1 (RS): *Sc across edge in a multiple of 6, 3 sc in corner; rep
from * around, sl st to 1st sc, do not turn.
Rnd 2: Sl st in next sc, turn, ch 1, sc in same sc, *ch 2, sk 2 sc, [sc,
ch 5, sc] in corner sc, **ch 2, sk 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3, sk 2 sc,
sc in next sc; rep from ** across to 2 sts before corner sc; rep
from * around, sl st to 1st sc, turn.
Rnd 3: Ch 2, 4 dc-cl in next ch-3 sp, ch 8, dc in 5th ch, ch 4, sl st
in same ch, [ch 4, dc in same ch, ch 4, sl st in same ch] twice
(clover made), ch 3, 4 dc-cl in same ch-3 sp, sk ch-2 sp, *4 dc-cl
in next ch-3 sp, clover, ch 3, 4 dc-cl in same ch-3 sp; rep from *
across to corner ch-5 sp, [(4 dc-cl twice, 4 dc-cl in corners ch-5
sp, sl st to 1st 4 dc-cl, fasten off.
