Step 3 Keepingtheworkinglooponthe
hook,lifthookupandovertherightprong,
soit’satthebackoftheloom.Youcanletgo
ofthehook,butkeeptensionontheyarn.
Step 4 Turntheloomoveranti-clockwise
(liftingtheRHsideoftheloomtowardsyou)
sotheyarnwrapsaroundwhatwastheleft
prong(thisbecomestherightprong) and
runsacrossthebackoftheloom.
Step 5 Yourfirsthairpinloopwillnowbe
aroundtheleft prong. Insert the hook into
thisloop.
Step 6 Yrhandpullup a loop (2 loops on
nowonthehook).
Step 7 Yrhandpullthroughthe2 loopson

Step 8 RepeatSteps3-7tomakemoreloops.
Asyouwork,a delicatezigzaggingladderof
dcstitchesappears.Oncetheloomis fullof
hairpinloops,you’llneedtotakesomeoffto
makeroomformore.Beforeyoudothis,
securetheloopsbyinsertinga lengthof
spareyarnontheinsideofeach prong, using
a tapestryneedleorhook.
Step 9 Carefullyremovethebottombarand
slideofftheloops.If you’recontinuingthe
strip,leave3 loopsinplaceoneachprongto
aidcontinuity,thenreplacethebottom bar
andcontinuetomakemoreloops.
Step 10 Onceyourstripis finished,fastenoff
asusualtosecurethefinalloop.Securethe
loopswithspareyarnandslidealltheloops
off. Now you’ll be ready for edging or joining.
